Sustainability
The outstanding commitment of our partners and distributors ensures that the production of our energy drinks and alcoholic mixed drinks is climate neutral. We pride ourselves in this.
In addition to production, packaging plays a major role. Our decision to use cans offers a number of advantages over other materials:
- Aluminium cans are light. This packaging offers an excellent weight ratio of contents to packaging. This saves fuel and costs during transport.
- Aluminium is perfectly suited for recycling. The can itself can be completely recycled and so return to the cycle of raw materials.
- Cans protect the contents from light and ensure exceptional quality. The long shelf life ensures that no stock has to be thrown out due to spoilage. All resources are used in the best way possible.
The cartons that hold our cans are also sustainable and consist of more than 80% recycled paper. Our cardboard supplier values not only the materials themselves, but also the goal of reducing energy consumption during manufacturing.
However, the goal of a completely sustainable supply chain is not yet within our grasp. This is why we constantly work to improve our processes.
Community Engagement
We value social engagement, especially in the communities where people are familiar with our products and actually consume them. Children are especially dear to us. We would like to give back in a variety of ways, and are happy to have partners in all countries who help us and undertake activities locally. In this way we have the opportunity to directly support projects and to know that we are making a difference, whether through financial or material donations.
We are especially happy to be involved with the Academy de kabongo de sports de Parakou, a project spearheaded by Ms. Meyer and Mr. Koffi, creating prospects for boys and girls through education and sports. With outstanding commitment, they are always working to further expand the academy and include more programmes to support children and young people. We have been providing them with financial support as well as school materials since 2019.
In addition to this long-term project, we are also happy to support in one-off projects.
For example, we had the opportunity to provide an orphanage in Abidjan, Ivory Coast with gifts for Mother’s Day. The kids were happy to receive such gifts as backpacks, school supplies, and footballs.
We are also happy to support sporting events. A 48-hour football tournament recently took place in Ouagadougou. We gave the competition an extra boost by providing Cody’s promotional materials to the winner!
